London (Antara Bali) - Tourist destination objects in eastern Indonesia have attracted visitors of VIVA Touristika 2012, a tourism exhibition held in Rostock, Germany.

"There are 980 Germans who paid a visit to Indonesia's stand during the exhibition, and 16 of them has been committed to make travel transactions worth 19,200 euro," Indonesian embassy First Secretary of Information and Social Culture in Berlin Juviano Ribeiro here on Tuesday.

The biggest tourism exhibition in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State had 4,500 visitors, 100 tour operators and travel companies in Germany.

"Most of the visitors to the Indonesian stand admired the beauty of Bali island, Yogyakarta, and also Lombok," said Ribeiro.

According to Ribeiro, the visitors also asked for  information about diving and cultural uniqueness of Raja Ampat island, West Papua.

"Indonesia's participation got special attention of the organizers. General Manager Frank Baumann, in particular, visited the Indonesian stand to express his gratitude for  Indonesia's participation in VIVA Touristika 2012," he said.(IGT/T007)
