Ambon (Antara Bali) - The rescue team found on Sunday morning two dead victims of the ill-fated speedboat 'Inarissa' which sank in Maluku waters on Saturday, a disaster agency official said.
"The two victims were found dead by the team which had been searching for the victims since Saturday," Kifly Wakano, secretary of Maluku's Natural Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD), said here on Sunday.
He said that the speedboat sank during its voyage from Tulehu port of Ambon Island to Kamariang, Seram Island, West Seram district.
The speedboat was carrying nine passengers. The rescue team is still searching the other seven who were still missing.
Kifly said the two dead victims who were found Sunday morning were Endo Pariama and Mrs Opi Tuarissa. Seven others are still missing, namely Mrs Epi Siwalette, Almendo Pesireron, Mrs Uling Poceratu, Andre Pariama, Oke Wenno, Falen Bakarbessy and Pio Tuarissa.(IGT/T007)
