Denpasar (Antara Bali) - A four-member Balinese arts troupe will leave for India next month to take part in a ten-day international arts show.
The show to be held by the Craft Council of India would take place at Lalit Kala Academy on February 9-18, Prof Dr I Wayan Rai. S, rector of the Indonesian Arts Institute (ISI) in Denpasar, said on Wednesday.
The Balinese arts team would perform a leather puppet shadow play at the event called "Bali Puppets Meet India Puppets", with I Ketut Kodi as the puppeteer, he said.
The arts team would take part in the show at the invitation of the event's organizing committee, he said.
He expressed hope the arts team's participation in the world-class event would give ISI a positive image in the eyes of the international community. (*)
