Sidoarjo, E Java (Antara Bali) - The military (TNI) soccer club of "PS TNI" defeated Persib Bandung 2-0 in the Group C match of General Sudirman Cup that took place at the Delta Stadium in Sidoarjo on Monday.
Of the two goals, the first was scored by Henry Febrianto in the 47th minute and the second by Guntur Triadi in the 79th minute.
In the meantime on Sunday (Nov 15), PS TNI defeated the Surabaya United 2-1 at the same stadium.
The two goals for the TNI`s victory were scored by Legimin Raharjo in the 50th minute and Manahati Lestusen in 86th, meanwhile the player of Surabaya United Fandi Eko Utomo netted the single goal in the 88th minute.
The General Sudirman Cup 2015 soccer tournament was officially opened by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Kanjuruhan Stadium in Malang, East Java on Tuesday night (Nov 10).
As many as 15 soccer clubs are participating in this soccer event that started on November 10. The tournament was initiated by the Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander.
The soccer tournament is being organized to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Indonesian military (TNI).
The General Sudirman tournament qualifiers will continue till December 22, while the semifinal will be held in each of the semifinalist`s home (home and away format) from January 9 to 17, 2016.
Meanwhile the final round will take place at the Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on January 24, 2016. (WDY)
