Cianjur (Antara Bali) - The remains of 22 illegal immigrants who drowned in the waters off Cianjur, West Java, after their boat capsized were taken to a local hospital in Cianjur on Saturday.
The bodies will later be moved to Kramatjati police hospital in Jakarta. Into the second day of the incident, a team from the military, police and local disaster mitigation service, as well as community members, continued searching for possible survivors in the waters but, as of the evening, had found no one alive.
The death toll stands at 22 dead, while 35 passengers are safe. (*/M038)
