Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Financial Service Authority (OJK) has issued a license for a new life insurance company PT Asuransi Jiwa Indosurya Sukses effective as from 11 September 2013.
OJK's director for communications and international relations Gonthor Ryantori Aziz said the license was issued on a decisio9n of the OJK commissioners No KEP-95/D.05/2013.
The new company will sharpen competition among life insurance companies in the country. The prospects , however, is still encouraging as Indonesia provides a huge market for life insurance.
The ratio of insured people to the country's population is relatively low compared to other countries. The head office of the new company is located at Indosurya Plaza at Jalan MH Thamrin Kav 8-9 Jakarta 10230. (*/DWA)
