Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The North Sumatra police is hunting down four terrorist convicts who have run away from the Tanjung Gusta jail in Medan city following July 11's riot in the prison, a police spokesman said.
"Up till now the police and military personnel are still searching for them. We call on them to turn themselves voluntarily as soon as possible," National Police Spokesman Brigadier General Boy Rafli Amar said here on Sunday.
The four convicts are Agus Sunyoto alias Sayafaudin alias Gaplek, Nibran alias Arab alias Wawan, Abdul Gani Siregar alias Gani and Fadli Sadama.
Riot in the Tanjung Gusta prison occurred last Thursday (July 11) after some prisoners set fire protesting the lack of water and electricity supply in the prison. (*/M038)
