ADB Aid for Disaster Risk Reduction

Manado (Antara Bali) - The Manila-based Asian Development Bank (ADB) has provided a Disaster Risk Reduction Development aid for the North Sulawesi city of Manado.

"Manado has been selected a recipient of the aid. Another recipient is Padang of West Sumatra," Manado mayor Vicky Lumentut said here on Thursday.  
   
Vicky said Manado and Padang have been selected out of 11 Indonesian cities proposed to receive the aid.

He said Manado  and Padang are considered ready to carry out projects to develop the capacity to reduce disaster risks in 2014. (*/DWA)
