"Since 2011 Indonesia's economy has grown fast and consistently every year, except in 2009," he said rejecting the myth that the country's economy is unstable.
He said even in 2009 Indonesia's economy could grow 4.6 percent in the midst of global financial crisis.
In view of that he said Indonesia this year could possibly be able to become the second largest economy in Asia after China and surpassing India.
"This year we set our economic growth target at around 6.5 percent," he said.(IGT)
