Jakarta (Antara Bali) - State-owned Enterprise Minister Dahlan Iskan said his ministry was ready to build a Rp150 billion worth hospital at the end of this year to provide health care services for laborers.
"Sometime in the past the President asked me to build a hospital for laborers. So, I ask Dr Rahma (Director of Pelni Hospital) to make its concept," Minister Dahlan said after having a leadership meeting at the Pelni Hospital here on Tuesday.
He said he was attending the leadership meeting of the Pelni hospital while at the same time looking at the draft concept of the Labor Hospital which would be built at the end of this year.
The minister said the hospital would be built to serve laborers, particularly those who worked during night time as part of the efforts to alleviate their life burden.
"If the Indonesian Defence Force (TNI) has a hospital, why should not laborers have?" Dahlan questioned.(IGT)
