Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Jakarta police confiscated 30.5 kilograms of methamphetamine and 382,000 ecstasy pills - all coming from Malaysia and China - and arrested 15 suspects in the past month.
"The arrests were made starting from March 29 until end of April 2012," Jakarta Metropolitan Police Command spokesman Senior Commissioner Rikwanto said here on Thursday.
He stated that the total value of narcotic drugs confiscated reached Rp160.3 billion and the drugs were consumable by up to 122 million people.
The command's deputy director of narcotics, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Rachmad Widodo, said the police had arrested suspects from two different drug syndicates while confiscating the drugs.(IGT)
