Semarang (Antara Bali) - The Foreign Affairs Ministry's Director General for Information and Public Diplomacy, Abdurrahman M. Fachir, opened the 6th Regional Interfaith Dialogue in Semarang, Central Java, on Monday.
"Issues of religious intolerance will be part of the dialog that is expected to find a solution to the problem," Abdurrahman said in his opening address.
With delegates from 15 countries participating, the 6th Regional Interfaith Dialog will run from March 12-15.
Abdurrahman noted that although Indonesia was the initiator of the interfaith dialog, the country should continue learning how to overcome the issues of religious intolerance.
"Indonesia should continue learning from other countries and existing experiences, how to overcome religious intolerance," he noted.(IGT)
