Grand Istana Hotel Received THK Awards

Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Grand Istana Rama Hotel received Tri Hita Karana (THK) Awards in category of four star hotels which was held at Bali Theatre, Bali Safari & Marine Park, Gianyar on Saturday (26/11).

"Our hotel that located right in front of the Kuta Beach proudly announce its second consecutive Gold Medal of Tri Hita Karana Awards (in 2010 and 2011) as a reward for its utmost persistent efforts to preserve Balinese culture," Andi Ananto, Resident Manager of Grand Istana Rama Hotel said on press release, Friday.
 
He said, Tri Hita Karana is the life concept of the Balinese community in accomplishing spiritual bliss through harmonization of the relationship between human and God (parahyangan), human to human (pawongan), human and environment (palemahan) into an integral unity.

"Tri Hita Karana awards is given for those who work in tourism industry, government official, schools and university that voluntarily registered to be evaluated into this concept," he added.

In order to support the implementation of Tri Hita Karana concept, we have been consistently maintaining and developing the Balinese cultural preservation.

The cultural activities that we have are cooking class of Balinese Cuisine, Balinese Dance Class, the making of Canang Sari and Kwangen (Balinese offering), the making of Paku Pipit (Balinese decoration), and we also share the lesson of Indonesian language.

"Tri Hita Karana is intensely implemented in this hotel. Our management has been establishing cooperation with Carang Sari Village to provide guidance to learn English language for elementary high school and junior high school. We voluntarily teach English lesson every Thursday in Carang Sari Village," he explained.
