China Second Biggest Tourist Supplier To Bali

Denpasar (Antara Bali) - The number of Chinese tourists to Bali has been increasing almost each month, earning it the credit of one of the 10 biggest tourist suppliers to the island paradise.

Many of the Chinese tourists came there for a holiday for the beautiful nature, arts and culture, some of them similar to those in China, an observer of Bali's tourism Dewa Rai Budiasa said here on Wednesday.

Dewa Rai said Bali with its beautiful nature and unique art and culture, is worth to spend a honeymoon for foreign tourists.

According to the Bali tourism agency, some 198,790 Chinese came straight from their country to Bali in the January-October 2011 period, a 13.76 pct increase compared to the 174,743 in last year's same period.

Dewa Rai said that his company who had often handled foreign youngsters for a honeymoon in the island paradise, said the number of Chinese to Bali ranked second in the number of tourist suppliers to Bali following Australia with 660.743.

The plan of a big power investor and a company from Chen Zhen to help this area to realize the Bali Green Province, contributed to the increase in the number of Chinese tourists to Bali.(*)
