Denpasar (Antaranews Bali) - Indonesia`s Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo is slated to inaugurate the acting Governor of Bali on 29 August at the local administration office Wiswa Sabha Utama Building, in Denpasar.

"The acting governor could be a director general or expert staff at the Ministry of Home Affairs, that is the information we received," Head of the Bali Provincial Public Relations and Regional Protocol Bureau Dewa Gede Mahendra Putra, said here on Sunday.

What is clear, Dewa Mahendra said, the ministry will determine who is acting Governor of Bali, as Made Mangku Pastika will end his term of office as Governor of Bali on August 29.

"So, the acting Governor of Bali will be in power starting the time of his appointment until the inauguration of Mr. Wayan Koster and Cok Ace as the Governor of Bali and the Vice Governor of Bali over the results of the Bali Election some time ago," said a bureaucrat from Buleleng.

With the inauguration of the acting governor, Dewa Mahendra remarked, it means that there will be no government vacuum until the inauguration of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Bali on September 17.

"I have also commissioned the Head of Protocol to attend a meeting in Jakarta which is related to the preparation for the inauguration of the acting Governor of Bali," said Dewa Mahendra.

The local provincial government has facilitated the establishment of the Transitional Office.

The Transitional Office can be used by Koster-Ace to hold meetings with leaders of the Bali Province peripheral organizations and related parties to organize the vision and mission during the election campaign.

The gubernatorial and vice gubernatorial pair candidate Wayan Koster-Tjok Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Koster-Ace) won the 2018 Bali Regional Election with 1,213,075 votes (57.68 percent), defeating their opponent pair Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra-Ketut Sudikerta (Mantra-Kerta) with 889,930 votes (42.32 percent).
