Indonesia Vs Mongolia In AWS Tournament Monday

Banda Aceh (Antara Bali) - Indonesian soccer team will play against Mongolia in Aceh World Solidarity (AWS) international tournament on Monday after the former defeated Brunei Darussalam 4-0 here earlier.

In its first match on Saturday (Dec 2), the Indonesian team crushed Brunei Darussalam 4-0 in the Harapan Bangsa stadium, in Lhong Raya area, Aceh Provincial capital city of Banda Aceh.

The four goals were scored by Hasanmu Yama Pranata in the 17th minute, Septian David Maulana in the 24th minute, Fachruddin Aryanto in the 68th minute and Yabes Roni in the 89th minute.

The victory over Brunei made Indonesia lead the standings with the 3 points and aggregate goals 4-0. Kirgizstan with 3 points and  aggregate goals 3-0. Kyrgyz soccer teams defeated Mongolia 3-0 (1-0) on the first day.

The Indonesia's victory over Brunei was a good start, but this team focuses on the second game on Monday (Dec 4) against Mongolia, according to Luis Milla, coach of the Indonesian team.

Milla said his players could play constantly throughout the game, so it produced 4-0 win over Brunei.

In the meantime, Brunei Darussalam versus Mongolia will take place on Wednesday (Dec 6) and Indonesia will play against  Kirgizstan later on the day.

The AWS offers US$50 thousand prizes to the champion and US$25 thousand to the runner-up.

In addition, prizes will also be awarded to the fair play team, top scorers and best players of US$2,500 dollars each.

The first-ever AWS tournament was participated by Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Brunei Darussalam, and Indonesia from Dec 2 to 6, 2017.(WDY)
