Sidoarjo (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian government is preparing around 24,000 free converter kits for cities that will be part of a pilot project for the use of gas, to support a gasoline-to-gas conversion programme, according to an official.
"The converter kits would be distributed among motorists in the cities," said Ely Sinaga, the director of urban transportation facility development at the transportation ministry, here on Wednesday.
"Among the cities that will be part of the gasoline-to-gas conversion programme are Surabaya, Palembang, Denpasar, and Balikpapan," he added.
The converter kits would first be distributed to public transport vehicles and later to private car owners, Ely stated.(*/T007)
