Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Thirty-one projects worth Rp55.5 trillion have availed of the Direct Construction Investment Service (KLIK) facility till late April 2016, according to the data maintained by the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).

The 31 projects used the KLIK facilities in 14 industrial zones spread over a total area of 10,022 hectares, BKPM Deputy Tamba Hutapea said here in a dialogue on investment on Tuesday.

Of the 31 projects, 10 are now under construction, he said.

"The total investment that will flow in is some Rp55.5 trillion," he remarked.

KLIK is aimed at boosting the realization of investment potentials.

Coordination between the central and regional governments is imperative for the KLIK facility.

Investors could immediately start construction after receiving in-principle permits from the BKPM, as long as they have fulfilled the Estate Regulation.

Other permits, including the environment impact assessment analysis (Amdal), could be processed and obtained during the process of construction.

The 14 industrial zones providing the KLIK facilities are located in six provinces.

Central Java has three industrial zones measuring 840 hectares; East Java has one industrial zone covering 1,761 hectares; South  Sulawesi has one 3,000 ha-industrial zone; Banten has three industrial zones spread over 3,170 hectares; West Java has five industrial zones covering 1,111 hectares; and North Sumatra has one 100 ha-industrial zone.
