Samarinda, E Kalimantan (Antara Bali) - Mitra Kukar soccer club of East Kalimantan defeated Persib Bandung of West Java 1-0
in the first leg of the President Cup semi-finals 2015 played here on Sunday evening.

The Mitra Kukar's midfielder Carlos Raul Sciucatti became hero of the host's victory with a goal scored in the 84th minute.

Raul was able to take advantage of the free kick by Zulkifli Syukur that can be passed by Raul's thin header, so that the ball direction changed and failed to be anticipated by Persib's goalkeeper I Made Wirawan.

Playing before thousands of its supporters, Mitra Kukar set a full point target.
On the other hand, the front-line duo of Persib Yandi Sofian and Atep always failed to penetrate the defenses of Mitra Kukar's OK John, Syafullah, Zulkifli Abdul Gamal and Gratitude that appear very disciplined in the back row.

Meanwhile, on Saturday (Oct 3), Sriwijaya FC of South Sumatra and Arema Cronus Indonesia of Malang, East Java, shared 1-1 score in the first leg of the President Cup semi-finals 2015 played in Malang on Saturday evening.

Arema`s striker Cristian Gonzales scored a goal in the 58th minute, but Sriwijaya FC`s Wildansyah equalized in the 72nd minute through a header in the match played at the Kanjuruhan Kepanjen stadium here.

Since the kick off in the first half, Arema appeared to dominate the game and threatened Sriwijaya FC`s goalpost within the first one minute of the match, but the scoreboard reflected 0-0.

Four soccer clubs, namely Mitra Kukar of East Kalimantan, Persib Bandung of West Java, Sriwijaya FC of South Sumatra and Arema Cronus Indonesia of Malang, East Java advanced to the semifinals of the President Cup. (WDY)
