Nanning, China (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian Trade Ministry inaugurated a product distribution center called Window to Remarkable Indonesia (WTRI), at the China-ASEAN Plaza in Nanning, China, on Thursday.
"I hope that this WTRI will serve as an effective new platform to promote the high quality and competitively priced export products from Indonesia," Director General of National Export Development of the Indonesian Trade Ministry, Nus Nuzulia Ishak, said during the inauguration of the distribution center.
Even as the current global economic slowdown continues, Indonesia must not stop penetrating the export markets for its products by, among other steps, setting up distribution centers abroad, he said.
Visitors to the new distribution center can see for themselves the quality and prices of the products displayed, and distribution channel from producers to consumers or industrial users, he said.
In addition, they can also use it as a communication platform to market products. As such, consumers are ready to place orders for the products offered by companies, he said.
The WTRI participants can benefit from popular electronic trading in the Chinese market, he said.
He said the WTRI has also launched its English and Mandarin websites as part of the efforts to promote sales, exhibit product samples, and receive online orders from consumers.
"I believe that through the various efforts we have made, Indonesian products will become more popular and will be able to compete with products from other ASEAN member states at the China-ASEAN Plaza," he said. (WDY)
