Jakarta (Antara Bali) -- The results of research carried out in Indonesia will serve as the basis for national development, Chief of the National Development Planning Board (Bappenas) Andrinof Chaniago said.
"We will maximize on the findings of (research conducted in) Indonesia to strengthen industrial development," Chaniago stated while launching the Autonomous Body for Research Funding here on Wednesday night.
On the occasion, he explained that with extensive research, development in Indonesia can be expedited.
"Science and technology are more reliable to develop industries and to speed up economic activities," he affirmed, adding that extensive research must be carried out for national development.
The Bappenas chief further noted that the findings of such research can help to boost the nation's economy. (WDY)
