Jakarta (Antara Bali) - State-owned oil and gas company Pertamina is increasing its supplies of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in three kilogram cylinders to West Java regions from February 25 to 27, 2015, Pertamina Spokesperson Milla Suciyani said.

She said here on Thursday that Pertamina added some 260 thousand 3kg gas cylinders to Bogor and some 93 thousand others to Depok.

Other West Java regions such as Cirebon, Majalengka, Kuningan, Garut and Cianjur, she said, will get additional supplies by about 50 percent of their daily allocations.

Pertamina is also launching market operations in regions reportedly running short of LPG in 3kg cylinders. "Yet, when the operations were launched, there were not many consumers who come to buy," she added.

On Wednesday, Pertamina carried out market operations in Tambun, Cikarang and Citeureup. "Of the 560 cylinders made available, only about 10 percent were sold," she said.

However, Milla said, Pertamina will continue the market operations in other places in an effort to meet the need for gas in 3kg cylinders in regions running short of supplies.
"We will launch the market operations in, among others, Cinere, Cibinong and Tamansari," she added. (WDY)
