Bitung (Antara Bali) - Purchase of the main tools of weapons systems (Alutsista) will support policies to maintain the strength of the Navy of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
"Based on the strategic policy development strength of the Navy in the first strategic plan for 2010-2014 for the development of strength AL, we make purchases of defense equipment in the form of three warships, KRI Multomo, John Lie and Usman Aaron," said Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral DR Marsetio, in Bitung, Saturday.
Furthermore Kasal said, the Navy is building three submarines which two are fully built in Korea, while the submarine equipment cooperation between Korea and shipyard in Indonesia.
"As for the frigates built along the Dutch and Indonesian shipyards, then making a 16 rockets and added three more next year," Kasal said.
He said, the power of the weapon system integrated fleet, there must be a warship, marine, aircraft, and bases.
"Our strength as an example of the submarine. The plan will be built 12 submarines until 2018, then we will add slowly defense equipment," said Marsetio.
Marsetio said, the fleet will move according to the mechanism, in which direction we lower the potential threat reconnaissance aircraft, submarines and others.
Navy said Marsetio, has three messages, the first military system. Military relating to the enforcement of sovereignty, while the second is Konstabulari, Konstabulari namely law enforcement as ileggal migrants, Fisihing, mining, drugs and money loundry.
While the third is diplomacy. This relationship is related to foreign countries, for example in Lebanon sends submarines, the Navy send KRI Dewaruci assisted joint friendly countries.
