Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Governor and Vice Governor of Jakarta Capital Region, Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and Basuki Tjahaja Purnama "Ahok", organized a reception for the civil servants on Monday (Aug 4) to celebrate Eid.
The reception was held at the Jakarta City Hall on the first working day after a week of Eid's joint holidays from July 28 to August 3.
Jokowi and Ahok arrived at the City Hall in the morning and then greeted and shook hands with Jakarta's officials: Regional Secretary Safullah, Social Welfare Secretary Assistant Bambang Soegiyono, Development Secretary Wiriyatmoko, and Governance Secretary Mara Oloan Siregar.
Jakarta's civil servants enthusiastically greeted Jokowi and Ahok, however, they had to queue up since 7 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.
"Please forgive us," Jokowi and Ahok stated to each civil servant while shaking hands.
After the reception, both Jokowi and Ahok reverted back to their regular duties, one of which was attending an inter-regional department meeting. (WDY)
