Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesia's benchmark stock index fell again in the opening session of the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) on Wednesday morning to follow the regional trend.

The  BEI index fell 15.02 points or 0.32 percent to 4,713.69 points. "Minimum positive sentiment caused the majority markets in Asia to weaken fall this morning," Samuel Sekuritas' analyst Yualdo Yudoprawiro said here on Wednesday.

A cut in the rating of big banks including Barclays, Credit Suisse,  and Deutsche Bank by Standard & Poor's (S&P) gave negative sentiment to the global market, Yualdo said.

"The decline in the rating followed fears of global economic uncertainty," he added.

Domestically, the increase in the yield of 10-year state bonds made investors to turn away form stock market, he said.

"The yield on 10-year bonds of FR63 in the recent auction rose to 7.25 percent from  6.59 percent in the previous auction, or an increase of 66 basis points," he said. (*/DWA)
