Banda Aceh (Antara Bali) - The US military aircraft that has been detained at the Sultan Iskandar Muda airbase in Blang Bintang, Aceh, for an alleged intrusion has already left the province.
"The plane with three crew members and two civilians on board left at around 7.15am on Tuesday for Singapore," the chief of the airbase, Col Supri Abu, said.
He said the military crew members and two civilian passengers had been held because they had illegally entered into the Indonesian territory on Monday.
The US 328 Dornier aircraft was flying from Maldives, Sri Lanka, for Singapore when it was detected on the radar entering the Indonesian territory illegally.
"They entered Indonesia without a permit but after investigation we found that it had no other motives except that it had been stranded," he said. (*/M038)
