Brunei Darussalam (Antara Bali) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said Indonesia hoped poverty in Southeast Asia could be cut by half after the establishment of the ASEAN Community in 2015.

President Yudhoyono expressed the hope at the ASEAN Summit in Brunei Darussalam here on Thursday.

Foreign minister Marty Natalegawa said after accompanying the President in the meeting President Yudhoyono had conveyed two but inspirational views.

"The first is how to make the ASEAN Gross Domestic Product able to double by 2030 and secondly how poverty in the region could be reduced by half," he said. (*/M038)
