Ambon (Antara Bali) - At least two fishermen were killed when a fishing boat with six people on board capsized in the sea off Buru Island in Maluku on Tuesday, a local official said.
The death victims were identified as Chris Hukunala amd Sanang Hukunala , Kifly Wakano of the regional agency in charge of natural disasters (BPBD) , said here on Wednesday .
Kifly said the accident occurred when the boat was on its way from South Buru to Leksula on a tuna fishing.
The boat was hit by strong winds and sea waves. The two brothers Chris and Sanang were drowned and the other four managed to swim to safety and reported the accident to police in Wamkana.
Kifly said the meteorology office already warned against danger of stormy weather and angry seas in Maluku from July 2 to 8.(IGT)
