Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian government is to ban all foreign NGO, Non Governmental Organization, to collect more public funds, such regulation is now being process under the public organization's bill.
"The NGO's licence or permit could be revoked if they are collects public funds, the regulation are now on process," said an official from the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry Dindin Wahyudin in the House of Representatives, here Wednesday, June 14, 2012.
The matter arouse after a foreign NGO, Greenpeace Southeast Asia, collecting funds through its representative in Indonesia, where the organization collecting public fund under the Greenpeace SEA's bank account, which is not legally registered in Indonesia and Greenpeace SEA Chapter Indo (www.Greenpeace.org/seaasia/id).
Previously, the organization has announced their financial report on two major Indonesian newspapers which mentioned that they received Rp1.2billion in 2009 and Rp1.7 billion in 2010.(IGT)
