Bogor (Antara Bali) - The evacuation process of the victims of the ill-fated Sukhoi Superjet 100 plane that crashed into Mount Salak in Bogor, West Java, has reached 80 percent, according to Search Mission Coordinator Putu Parwa.
"Approximately 80 percent of the victims aboard Sukhoi have been evacuated," Parwa said on Tuesday at Pasir Pogor Oval in Cijeruk sub-district, Bogor.
He stated the last task for the search and rescue team was to sweep the crash site. "Right now, all they need to do is to sweep the area," Parwa added.
He noted the search and rescue team on-site consisted of 512 people, including personnel from the Indonesian Army, Indonesian National Police, as well as civilians.
"We will gradually decrease the number of personnel on location, as the evacuation process has reached 80 percent," Parwa explained.(IGT)
