Manado (Antara Bali) - Mount Lokon in North Sulawesi province again erupted on Friday at about 8:20 pm local time and produced loud thumping noise.
"The mount's activity has been increasing since yesterday, by the increase of deep and shallow volcanic earthquakes that trigger the eruption," said Warno, the Mount Lokon and Mahawu volcano observation post staff, in Tomohon Friday.
Warno also said that the volcano spewed ashes up to 2.000 meters high.
Meanwhile, nearby residents gathered on the streets in urban villages such as Kinilow I, Kinilow, and Kakaskasen, North Tomohon sub-district, Tomohon, located close to the crater.(IGT)
