Denpasar (Antaranews Bali) - Would-be Vice Presidential Candidate Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno praised his friend Erick Thohir who had been named by President Joko Widodo as chairman of his presidential campaign success team.
Uno has been picked up by would-be Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto as his running mate in the 2019 presidential election.
Incumbent President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), in the meantime, has decided Muslim cleric Ma`ruf Amin as his could-be vice presidential partner in the coming presidential race.
Uno, who has resigned as the deputy Jakarta governor, and Thohir are friends and both have business backgrounds.
"He (Thohir) is my friend since childhood. So, I am very happy to hear President Jokowi`s decision to pick him as his running mate, though he is named as a chief success team by the Jokowi-Ma`ruf presidential pair," Uno said here on Saturday night. (WDY)
