Jakarta (Antara Bali) - PT Liga Indonesia, organizer of the Indonesia Super League (ISL) competition finally canceled the pre-season tournament as it failed to get recommendation from the Indonesian Professional Sports Agency (BOPI).
"PT Liga has cancelled the pre-season tournament," secretary to PT Liga Indonesia Tigor Shalom Boboy confirmed here on Wednesday.
According to Tigor, a letter of request sent by PT Liga Indonesia to BOPI was not immediately responded to carry out the tournament.
BOPI suggests that PT Liga should coordinate with the transition team in advance.
Previously, a total of 18 soccer clubs have been informed to take part in the pre-season tournament which is aimed to overcome the absence of the Indonesia Super League (ISL) competition after being ceased recently.
The pre-season tournament initially will take place from May to August 2015, which is initiated as a way out of economic problems of the clubs and players. (WDY)
