Indonesia Wins Nine More Gold Medals In Asean Para Games

Kuala Lumpur (Antara Bali) - Indonesia added nine more gold medals to its collection from athletic events on the second day of the 9th ASEAN Para Games in Kuala, Lumpur, Malaysia, on Monday.

Abdul Halim Dalimunthe contributed a gold medal from men's 100 meters T11 sprint, clocking 11.54 seconds.

The record was the same as the one he made at ASEAN Para Games in Myanmar in 2014.

Endang Sari Sitorus contributed a gold medal from women's 100 meters T12 sprint, clocking 13.07 seconds, to break her own record made at ASEAN Para Games in Singapore in 2016.

The third gold medal was contributed by Putri Aulia from women's 100 meters T13 run, clocking 12.66 seconds.

Karisma Evi Tiaran contributed a gold medal from women's T44 long jump, recording a long jump of 4.19 meters.

Three other gold medals were contributed by Sapto Yogo Purnomo from the men's 100 meters T38, Yahya from men's javelin throw, and Agustinus Tinabela from men's 5 thousand meters T12/13 run.

Sapto ran in 11.76 seconds, while Yahya threw up to 37.56 meters, and Agustinus clocked 18 minutes 34.8 seconds to win the gold medals.

Susan Ungu contributed a silver medal from women's 100 meters T11 run, completing the race in 13.91 seconds; Ni Made Arianti from women's 100 meters T13 run, completing in 13.04 seconds; Jaenal Aripin in men's 100 meters T54 run, completing in 14.84 seconds; and Sutarno in men's shot put event, after a 10.57-meter-long throw.

The bronze medal contribution came from Doni Yulianto, after completing men's 800 meters T54 event in 45.38 seconds, Seriwati from women's javelin throw F56/F57 event, Alan Sastra from men's javelin through F57 and Yohanis Bili from men's javelin throw F44, and Tiwa from women's long jump T20 event, a jump of 4.99 meters.
