Jakarta (Antara Bali) -
State-owned toll road company PT Jasa Marga Tbk (JSMR) reported Rp670.03
billion in net profit in the first half of 2015 or 17.44 percent lower
than Rp811.59 billion in the same period last year.
The decline in profit was attributable to performance falling short of expectation in the first six months of this year.
The
financial report of the toll road developer and operator showed that
its income fell to Rp4.09 trillion in the first half of the year from
Rp4.48 trillion a year earlier.
The decline in income was
attributable mainly to shrinking income from construction business down
to Rp455.22 billion from Rp1.05 trillion .
Meanwhile, significant
increase was still recorded in its income from toll road operations to
Rp3.41 trillion from Rp3.17 trillion.
The assets of the company rose 2.57 percent to Rp32.67 trillion by June 30 from Rp31.85 trillion by Dec 31, 2014.
Corporate
secretary of Jasa Marga Mohammad Sofyan said toll road concession of
the company increased to 1,000 kilometers after the acquisition of the
187 kilometers Solo-Ngawi, Ngawi-Kertosono and Cinere-Serpong toll
roads.
This year, the company put into operation new
Gempol-Pandaan toll road. the 13.6 kilometer toll road came on line in
June . Two more toll roads in East Java -- Gempol-Pasuruan and
Surabaya-Mojokerto would follow before the end of this year adding 46
kilometers to total length of toll road operated by the company. (WDY)
