Bogor (Antara Bali) - The first herbal community health center (Puskesmas) was launched in the Second Bogor Organic Fair (BOF) and the Indonesian Herbal Festival, here, Sunday.

The herbal Puskesmas was officially launched by Ning Harmanto of the Indonesian Social Entrepreneurship Association (AKSI), Sri Nuryati of the BOF II organizing committee, said.

A number of the fair's visitors were given free medical checkups at the herbal Purkesmas after the launching.

The Second Bogor Organic Fair was organized by the Indonesian Organic Alliance in cooperation with the Bogor Municipality Administration, AKSI, and the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) at the IPB complex, from June 9 to 10, 2012.

The BOF and Indonesian Herbal Festival were organized to promote herbal products including herbal medicines such as "jamu".(IGT/T007)
